Doug grew up in an Air Force family, with his dad being a career officer (Lieutenant Colonel) and a pilot. They moved around a lot, but Doug ended up making Oklahoma his home. He attended Oklahoma State University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Professional Recreation. He followed that up with Criswell Bible School in Dallas, Texas, and obtained a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Doug undertook a career as a Junior High and High School Bible Teacher at Christian Heritage Academy in Oklahoma City which included teaching classes in Ethics, Government, and numerous aspects of Scripture and Books of the Bible. In addition, he regularly engaged in leadership sessions with the adult faculty, spoke in chapel, and wrote reports necessary for accreditation, as well as coaching basketball and tennis. In 2007, Doug entered the Oil & Gas Industry as a Title Landman (independent contractor), and spent the next 13 years abstracting mineral title for an exploration and production company and several different land brokers. Doug is an experienced professional with proven abilities to work and excel in a fast-paced industry, while maintaining a focus on integrity, quality, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work as a team player or as an individual contributor. Attention to detail, persistence, and concern for people are qualities he possess. Doug feels that he can communicate very clearly, having been a teacher for many years at various levels. Hard work in and of itself is his motivator.
